hi all
purchased 2024 ridge hvac dec '24. I rode it around the farm and property a little bit during the winter, the door seemed a little off I've tried everything to get them to tighten up and not come open.
hinges. door post , latch, striker, I've got them the close like a vault door they still rattle but it what keeps them from popping open.
and the gas tank doesn't vent, I'm trying the different valve that was suggested on here.
but what a disappointment , my Kubota with a full hvac cab had absolutely no issues(still have it).
it is didn't have to walk back to camp today I believe i would have sent that ridge off a mountain today.

I feel your pain unhappy, my passenger door rattled and the gas tank vent I installed. My the dealer replaced the latch to no avail. Dealer is 2+ hours away.
We bought a new model which is not good, we are the test pilots.
I still like our HVAC, everybody got paid and we have to deal with it. My truck forum has guys dealing with problems on their trucks that cost more, some more than twice as much.
I try to think it could be worse, like motor or drive train problems.

my pass.door stays in place, I keep everyone up to date on a perm. fix that makes sense. oh yeah, the trucks, still using a 18 yr. old diesel dually to do it all. no new trucks.
I believe the drive train will hold up on the ridge, it felt strong on the trail.
What is the issue with the gas tank vent? I know it builds pressure but it doesn't hurt anything and it is done on purpose to not vent gas fumes into the air unless the pressure gets so critically high that it can hurt something. It is working like it should. If you want zero pressure then it has to vent into the atmosphere on these as unlike all cars the vent doesn't vent into the intake plenum. I don't understand why you want to vent to atmosphere? The less gas you have the higher the pressure will be as air compresses and gasoline does not. When you go to fill up open it slowly. If you made it vent into the atmosphere its like having a open gas tank in your garage.
Well makes the cab stink so bad because of how high the pressure gets . I could see a little bit of pressure most all vehicles have a little bit of pressure in the tank and I get that but this was edging on 15 to 18 lb of pressure or more when taking the fuel cap off to make it quit stinking while I was on the trail. Eventually that's going to cause fuel injector issues and all that pressurized fuel if it's not going back in the tank I would venture to say it would do a wash out of the cylinders or maybe worse. My 2004 Honda rancher. has a fuel tank vent that vents into the air and you never smell it. I'm just trying to ride in a enclosed HVAC side by side and not have to smell the vapor from the fuel tank. And of course if the doors shut properly like they should maybe I went and smell any of it.
